What Is A Buyer’s Premium?

What is bidder number?

Every registered bidder receives a unique bidder number when she/he registers for a given auction. Bidder number is printed on the bidder card and is handed to the bidder during the registration. Bidder number is required to participate in an auction and place bids.

Is there a charge for a bidder number?

There is no charge for a bidder number. It is absolutely free to register for an auction and receive a bidder number, which is valid for just one auction in progress. A valid government issued ID is required (example: Driver’s License)

Can I share my bidder number with another person?

No, every bidder must be registered separately and receive a unique bidder number.

What is TAVT?

TAVT is “Title Ad Valorem Tax”.
Effective March 1, 2013, In accordance with new state laws, any motor vehicle purchased on or after March 1st, 2013 and titled in the state of Georgia are exempt from the sales tax and the annual ad valorem tax, also known as the “birthday tax”. These taxes are replaced by a one-time tax “Title Ad Valorem Tax” (TAVT) that is based on FAIR MARKET VALUE of the vehicle by DMV at rate of 7%.

What is a Doc Fee?

“Doc Fee” is a $20.00 fee that we charge for every motor vehicle sold for a “Drive-Out Tag”. This tag makes you legal to drive away the motor vehicle that you purchased in the auction.
“Drive-out tag” is required by law when operating the newly purchased vehicle and is valid for 45 days. However, the customer has 30 days from the purchase date to either register or obtain a license plate.
